Awesome that you got her on the road. I have dual glass packs on mine but I love the noise. No matter what you use, there isn't better sound than an FE with dual exhaust. Have fun with her.

Big Block Ford rollin in a Galaxy. This is awesome. Can’t wait to hear the dual exhaust system.
If the budget allows re-gear the Ford 9inch with 3.25 gears and a locker differential it would definitely get off the line quickly and still maintain highway speeds without overrevving the FE Big Block. Love this Galaxy Griff and have a Blessed One Sir.

I hope they let you know when they can get around to do it; I'd like to see some vids of the installation, or at least the underside of the car once it's finished. You'll love it even more when it's quiet!

some chrome molding on the sides or pin stripe on that, would make it pop more

Glad to see it finally going those were my first cars when I first started driving had a 65 LTD 4 door a 66 LTD 4 door 66 Galaxie four-door with a 289 good cars except for mine had Rusty frames and the Transmissions were wore out would like to have another one someday still got a few parts for my first one 65 Grill– cluster and a steering column I'm sure you'll enjoy driving that one now

Nice car: nice job! I always thought the Galaxie’s from 65 to 68 were the best handling ones especially if you went to 4 degrees caster or more. They didn’t wallow like the later ones yet had a nice smooth quiet ride. Good luck with the car. She’ll be a nice daily for sure if u choose to use it that way. Enjoy your videos.

I used the flowmaster flow FX mufflers with 2.5" pipes on my galaxie. Made for a quiet interior drive but still made plenty of noise out the tailpipes. Those are a magnaflow style muffler. I have a video of the exhaust system if you're interested. Car sounds good and sounds like the test drive was a success!

LOve these Galaxy's. Hey if you're ever thinking of selling one of the parts rigs... maybe shoot a line to Luke at Thunderhead289. He's got a 66 but he may want another to do something different with. Ever think of doing a 7 liter 427 or maybe getting a 7.3 Liter Godzilla from a wrecker and dropping in in a 2 door Galaxy? I mean those are starting to show up in Salvage yards. Drop on of those in a Galaxy with a Turbo or two lol Just a blur going buy. lol
