Learn how to select and use Key Performance Indicators or KPIs more effectively. Facility management reports focus on measuring and monitoring systems and are designed to tell us how much energy we use, how much work we’ve accomplished, how many projects we’ve undertaken, and how we spent our organization’s money. But we often get caught up in the data and miss making the information relevant to our work, meaningful to our staff, and useful to our organization.
If we instead start with the end in mind, tuning our facility management program and its processes to supporting the mission of our organization, our metrics will illustrate what matters most in our performance. This provides the essential value and focus we most need in our facilities programs.
