Thanks for this reminder.
I've been having such a hard time finding a new job.

It used to be no problem for me 5-10 years ago and now it just seems impossible to get a call back. 🤷

I have been binge-watching these videos for the past few days, and you have a way of simplifying the job search in a way that no other career coaching, job search channel or company is doing. Thank you for mentioning that a job description is like an RFP and a resume is a proposal. I never thought of it that way before but it makes so much sense. Also, your point about using the same language they use (ie. member, user, customer) is a very important point. Thank you so much!

I found this to be patronising: applicants, especially those that are long-term unemployed, are more than aware of how to tailor a resume so that it matches a job description. They put the work in. But they're still rejected, despite being qualified for the position.

The reality is that applicants are also competing with internal candidates or friends of a manager. In most cases, the managers have already decided who they're going to hire, but have to go through the motions of advertising the vacancy and holding interviews, because they're required by law to do so.

It also is a major blocker without any rhyme or reason. If you are even slightly off on a key word - its over.

This is total BS. The day I cared LESS is the day I started getting interviews. I have total disregard to "wanting" to get the job, and it works every time.

keep learning new skills it nothing more important gaining more valuable skills than getting rejected constantly, a employer have talk to me about how programming skills is important, yes it is important, but gaining more other skills is important as well, i know abit about linux and advance networking and ethical hacking they are valuable skills, I reckon is a win for me, the employer lost for words and he is like a trash, and have never thought there other things in life can be important

I worked for many companies. I can tell you for sure that the hiring manager already has someone in mind and only post the job to look "compliant". and they will ALWAYS hires someone that is not a threat to their role. No one cares about the company or hiring the best person for the company, they all want to hire someone they can have fun with, unless it's the owner of the company or someone who actually has stakes in the company, then they will hire the best qualified person. Stop fooling people with "customers" vs "guests" LOL not even the hiring manager at Uber would know the F difference.

.DOC or .PDF - lots of misinformation on the internet. just help clarify or make a video on it instead of wasting time here.
