Whoever wrote the words in the script, "Jack Black teaches Karen Gillan how to be a hot chick" is the comic genius of our time, and I didn't know I needed that in my life until I saw this movie.

Jack Black was amazing in this movie. The cast was fantastic in general. This was such an unexpectedly good movie.

Couldn't agree more that comparing this to the original is apples and oranges. They're both great. Not gonna lie, when I saw the trailers for this movie, I thought it looked like it would be a shallow action comedy with cheap laughs. It definitely has its fair share of that, but I was surprised at how genuine it felt. Of course, Jack Black as Bethany takes the cake. "Martha, come look at my penis!"

"Because there's like a handle" is one of my favorite lines from any movie, any time, any era. And yes, Jack Black as a teenage girl is the most brilliant thing ever done in a movie.

To be fair to the lore, the game only puts you back into the time before you started the game after it's beaten. Alan was just trapped in the Jungle while the game was still going on. He wasn't put back into his kid's body until the game finished. The kids from the first movie only joined the game that Alan and Sarah started, and the kids in this movie only entered the game that was started by the kid back in 1996.

And Alan was in his actual body with only one life. When the board game evolved into a video game, it started giving the players avatars. That might be why Alan aged in the Jungle, but the kid from 1996 didn't. So really, the game became easier by giving you spare lives and special powers.

Also, we have never seen the game kill anyone. And it always undoes the damage it causes while letting the players improve themselves through the experience. Maybe it's impossible to actually die in during a game, and it's actually just trying to teach kids life lessons. It improved Alan's relationship with his father and allowed him and Saraha to save the parents' lives from the first movie, that died on a Canadian vacation.

I love both versions of Jumanji, but they’re vastly different beasts. I think this has standout moments for each performer, but for me the most memorable bit was the dance fighting scene.

This movie turned out to be much more entertaining than I expected. It helps that the four leads are just such likable actors. Even the actors playing their teenage versions are pretty good, too. Adding in the video game parody aspect added so much to it. Even though I haven't really been a gamer for years, I still get the idea.

The sequel to this one is pretty fun too, I'd recommend giving it a watch!

It always blows me away when I remember that Ruby Roundhouse is Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy. She acts so differently here.

Whenever MCU fans talk about the most attractive cast members of the franchise, Karen Gillan is generally not mentioned, which turns out to be a testament to how good Nebula's make-up is given how gorgeous she is especially in this movie.

This movie was way better than people were expecting and the tribute to Robin's character was a great surprise. Can't wait to see what you think of the next one too.

the OG movie was a childhood favorite so when i heard they were redoing it with the rock, i was like "what the fuck?". But like everything, I gave it a chance and im so glad i did. This shit was hilarious. breath of fresh air.

it took me a couple rewatches but in the beginning you saw Alex playing a video game where he was on a Motocycle so when jumanji became a video game it absorbed information.from the other game, that's why there were motorcycles in the game.

I was very Leary about the new Jumanji movies because I loved the original so much. But they are not remakes, but actually sequels and they are great.

Hippos are dangerous animals killing approximately 500 people per year. Lions in comparison kill around 20-30. Although herbivores, they are known to eat meat and even be cannibalistic.
