I love listening to people talking about movies. If this video would last 2 hours, I would buy some popcorn and just keep watching :D Italian is so beautiful that it's fun to hear the language even if you don't understand much :D

Il mio film italiano preferito è "Cinema Paradiso". Negli ultimi vent'anni l'ho visto tante volte e mi piace di più ogni volta che lo vedo. Che bella storia!

Fantozzi saga is a masterpiece. You don't have to be old to understand it. Just intelligent and knowing some history.

Mi piace molto, anzi amo "Cinema Paradiso" ed ho avuto la fortuna e la gioia di visitare il museo del film che si trova a Palazzo Adriano in Sicilia!

To understand our tradition I can suggest: Amarcord (Fellini), la Famiglia (Ettore Scola), Parenti Serpenti (Monicelli), Amici Miei (MOnicelli) e in the end COmpagni di SCuola ( Verdone )

Italian movies constitute such a vast universe and are such a perfect way to learn Italian and open up a conversation about Italian culture and history. This video barely begins to scratch the surface. Please, please revisit this subject again with another video, please give it more than six minutes. and please make an effort to interview a wider range of ages and generations. Grandparents and retired folk will have a whole different range of reference points and cinema experiences to share than kids from the post-Benigni generation.

I would like to name some "NEW" movies, not only "old school classics" they might be not exactely cult movies but i liked them A LOT. I would say "Smetto quando voglio" which is actually a trilogy saga, super funny! Light and entertaining. Another one could be "Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot", one of the best i've ever seen in terms of acting. Lovely!

Among classic Italian actors my idol is absolutely Anna Magnani, and one of my favorite Italian films is Pasolini's Mamma Roma, in which she stars (and I mean STARS!). That film has a lot of dialect, though, as I recall. Magnani is also wonderful opposite Marlon Brando in an American film, The Fugitive Kind -- what a pairing! Otherwise I love almost anything by Fellini and Bertolucci. Among contemporary Italian actors, I agree with the guy who named Alessandro Borghi. But in this century I've seen much more Italian TV than Italian movies.

One of my favorite Italian movie is Malena. I have seen many Italian movies but sadly I can’t remember the names. Italian actresses are certainly to die for! 😊 Sophia Loren and Monica Bellucci are super gorgeous. I really wish Indians can learn more about Italian movies, their style and story telling! Cheers from South India 🙏🏾
