Rolling Stones Live at the Max – Start Me Up.
Subtitles available.

Wembley Stadium, London, 1990

0:00 – Continental Drift
1:10 - Start Me Up

Notes:

— This was Bill Wyman's last tour with the band, who left in 1993;

— Urban Jungle Tour, featuring the North American Steel Wheels Tour stage in favour of the IMAX recording. The Urban Jungle Tour had a different smaller scale stage.

— For those pointing out lip syncing: Live at the Max is the first feature film to use IMAX in its full length—a new and complex technology at the time; that is the reason we have it in 1080p today.

The band only agreed to use it unless it didn't jeopardise the live concerts. The solution they found was to record some clips in emptied stadiums as to fill the gaps of the jinxed strips of film.

This is not in a concert format. Not all clips from the whole film is set in London.

RIP Charlie, thanks you for the music you were part of, the memories of the many concerts at the Garden, your love for the music, and all. May God meet you with a pair of brushes in hand.

You can't deny The Stones as being the best rock band of all time. Just staying together as long as they have makes them that.

This video is incredible! From the rarely seen backstage footage to the outstanding performance, it doesn't get any better than this. Why it doesn't have a million views, I will never understand.

Absolute legends, there is no substitute for them. The rolling stones are the greatest British rock band ever.
What an incredible band.
Pure British rock at its very, very. Best.

Those opening 3 chords just crashing...unmistakable! I've heard it a million times at every HS, College and NFL game I've been to! Keith playing with the Open G tuning! Such a crowd-pleasing, and fun song to hammer out. It didn't occur to me back then how brilliant the Stones were in the late 70's and early 80's to embrace the punk vibe at the time. It vaulted them clear of the whole British invasion perception. Absolutely in a class by themselves.

Worked on the Steel Wheels tour in 1989 and was on the house mix platform in Dallas when they opened with this.
Best moment in my life, still sends chills down the spine

Never be any rockers like the stones, they’re still thrilling audiences like they’ve done for decades, they love to do that and always be there for us
