Which is your favourite Greenback and why??

The M67 sounds the most tonally balanced to me. Great video.

I've been using G12M Greenbacks exclusively since 1974 with Hiwatts, Marshalls, Vox and Fenders. They oretty much do what i want with everything. Just go back and forth with cab designs - closed, open, 2x12, 4x12, 1x12 combo - they have you covered in my book. I love 'em!

Fantastic video! Thanks so much for sharing it. I really do like greenbacks, especially for recording. What I found so surprising - which this video demonstrates excellently - is how different the models sound, and how they compliment each other when used together. I have a 20 watt version (the recently-discontinued one, which is supposed to be the same as the EVH version...? Now I'm not so sure!) in one of your closed-back 1x12 cabs in my home studio, and another open-back 1x12 with the current 25-watt G12M. The smoother 20-watt speaker works well with the brighter 25-watt version. It's definitely worth experimenting!

I liked the M67 the best in this video. It has the most balanced mid-range of the 5 with a harshness in the hi-mids that you could EQ out relatively easily.

Great video. I like what you're doing, it's a valuable but also fun service to guitar players. I also like how you deal with some of the frankly moronic comments without losing it. 😅
I like the M best, and pairing a Greenback with a G12-75 sounded great for me when I had a 2x12.

I definitely prefferred the M67, it sounds way more pleasant to my ears!

Loving your content! Can I make a recommendation? Give the lads at That Pedal Show a shout about doing some sort of cab deep dive. For example, I know they are fans of Zilla and 1x12 cabs. You could do a show “selecting the right 1x12 cab for you” and feature same speaker but different cab size/designs, ported, etc, and the equivalent but in open back. Good marketing for you guys and I think it would be insightful and great to see you guys in the pedal shed.

Greenbacks G12m on top of V30's will always be my go to

The regular G12M is my favorite. All of them are killer speakers though.

As always we get another excellent video!
Now I am sad I do not have M67 in house :(
It has that structure/texture and details like no other. Better top end than standard M 25W.
EVH sounded darker as I remember, but it was still very nice. I bet it fits good amplifiers very good.
Standard M 25W is just what it is and what I remember in last like 20 years.
I have always loved H models. In old once I loved 55Hz and in Heritage series H75. To be honest I do not miss them so much because Creamback H is doing great job as well.
So, Celestion, seriously, you leave some speakers in the program and you take out Heritage series Greenbacks? You leave us hanging for so long :(

I'd like to see a video with a Blackback in addition to those 5. Personally, I've rotated '78 Blackback, '16 G12M, and EVH speakers in my 1960A cab over the last decade. EVH seems a little too dark, G12M sits very nice, but the Blackback is just on another level of warmth and sizzle.

Greenback M and the 55 sounded similar and were the ones I liked.

This would be a great sound test except the loop your using changes. Loops are perfect but make sure you use the same riff loop for each speaker. You can change the riff but it has to be the same riff for each speaker.
You have 5 speakers make sure it's the same riff across all 5 speakers before you change to a new riff.

The current G12m just seems more pleasing sounding to my ears

The M67 and EVH.. I thoughts those were the same speaker? Celestion I thought said they dropped the M67 20watter because the EVH was the same but just a different label? They have a slightly different tone. Very similar. I have an EVH 4x12 and I love it though! Sounds killer with my Plexi style amp!

What is the G12M-67?

It sounds the best to me and I cant find it on Celestion's site.

Dear Zilla, do you think the EVH is the exact same speaker as the g12m 20watt heritage? Doesn't sound the same to me. You?

I’m curious if the M67 and the EVH are many years apart in production.
