nobody wins in this trade war. But the bright side of this is it might be better for the environment.

Considering FDI, the US direct investments in China were barely nothing in recent 10 years, I always wonder how many jobs transferred by those investments. While, surprisingly, the US to China investments increased 70% in Q1 2019, are we really in some kind of trade war???

Let's say the war continues. Well, so what if new markets for electronics and chemicals and processed goods opens up in other slightly more expensive locations? Doesn't Vietnam or The Philippines or Cambodia or Mexico or .... have the capability to produce goods too? Sure it might be expensive at first, but eventually scales of production will give rise to lower cost goods. The USA is just asking China to open it's markets and knock off the technology transfer requirements. Who cares who makes the widget. If the leaders in the middle East were keen to creating jobs for the youth and getting into industrial production ... this is a great opportunity.
