TOUGH TRUCKS! (Scott County Fair)

Ford Ranger + F250 suspension parts + mud tires = a win in these events. Years ago a friend and I did this in a 4 cyl 5 speed 1985 Ranger and won 4 out of 5 different events with it over a 2 years span. Jumped great, very rarely bottomed out on the big ones. Frame was much stronger than either of us could have imagined.

The frames on the 1st and 2nd gen Rangers are tough as can be. They always do well in these events.

You really can’t find better ways to show the ability of these vehicles than this. It should be the way they advertise it back when they were new. I had a jeep grand Cherokee and it was really good but I drove my dad’s s10 blazer and in winter it was a lot better.

You can see that the stock suspension is way too soft for qny serious off roading .. The course just makes you spill your beer..oops ...tweaked your suburban....gotta couple dead ones asitting out here. They keep following the tire tracks into the wall !
