Welcome to @MarcSmithveterinarian, your go-to resource for pet health advice!

Marc Smith, DVM, MS discusses treatment options for dogs diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a common and painful bone cancer.

Learn about the different approaches, including:
- Amputation: A common option to eliminate pain caused by the tumor.
- Pain management: For owners who prefer not to amputate, this can help maintain the dog's comfort.
- Herbal medicine and autologous vaccines: Explore alternative treatments aimed at boosting the immune system to fight cancer, with or without amputation.

Dr. Smith emphasizes that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, and pet owners must decide on the best course based on their dog's condition and their own preferences. Watch to understand the pros and cons of each approach.
