05-09 Mustang Cheap Cold Air Intake CAI ★★★★★

Cheapest CAI on eBay. Only about $70 and install was kind of tricky but ended up saving a lot of $$ in the end.

Performance wise, didn't notice a huge difference but love the sound it makes when you stomp on it.

@heyitsthatcooolguy i believe its a splash guard so water doesn't get up into the intake

@heyitsthatcooolguy unless you want your car sucking up water, i suggest you have it installed. any spray from the tires can splash up there. the side of the guard towards the engine is wet after a rain storm so all of that water would have gotten on the intake if it weren't there

hey if you want your intake temps being even lower so you dont get heat soak on the piple get some gold reflective heat tape or get sliver. also you could get some heat paint to go on it as well that would help the temps to be lower as well so youll have more cooler air going in.

Looks nice and K&N are one of the 1st to do CAI. My main thought is the tube is pretty long and has a sharp curve. I'm thinking that might delay the time in which the air reaches the manifold but that's just my opinion. Looks nice and the filter is long which should take on more air though it is a little narrow. Not bad B)

Thinking about getting one of there for my 07 4.0 mustang. Has it made any difference in performance/ mileage etc? Ebay still has this for 69 btw! Thanks!

@jwhitie1992 Its also to prevent the intake from sucking in hot air from the engine. By blocking the heat the the intake gets cooler air and cold air = better berformance:)
