11900k actually proform pretty well stacking up against the *MUCH BETTER* 12900k. It might not be a bad idea to go for 11900k since the price has dropped a lot (plus the motherboard are half the price compair to 12th gen intel)

The one (important for workstations) thing where 12900k flattens 11900k in productivity and virtual machines. The thing are E-cores which they are helpful and the CPU competes with 5950X meanwhile its precedessor was losing with 5800X

I have a 11900K paired up with a RTX 3080ti and I couldn’t be happier!! Love the performance and I’m running a 3440X1440P curved display with maxed out graphics. I’m good for quite a few years. I was lucky enough to get a GPU at MSRP and did NOT buy from pathetic scalpers

I don't have 11 or 12900k yet but planning on finally getting an i9 and the 11900k is looking really tempting at about $400 where I live. Despite all the hate it received, it is still a beast of a chip and I feel a lot of the negative reviews were due to it's price relative to it's performance and it carrying the i9 label. But let's face it MOST people would be more than happy to have an 11900k at a good price. I mean, outside of benchmarks and in to more real world stuff like gaming, it seems 11900k is not really that far behind. 12900k looks very promising and exciting but if I understood it correctly, it's using something like a chiplet design which I'm not really sold on due to exp with 3rd gen Ryzen. (R5 3600 has terribly high latency). Who knows, maybe Intel's implementation would be better but I worry this might inevitably cause core-to-core latencies compared to when they were just monolithic. Also, unless Microsoft fixes the Windows 10 scheduler, it seems that you pretty much have to be on Windows 11 for it to perform as expected and not everyone including me is optimistic about that given that Windows 11 still has a lot of bugs. Overall the 12900k is like a shiny new toy but it's too bleeding edge at the moment and I'm just not entirely sure if it's worth almost $300 more than the heavily discounted 11900k.

Guys remember, the 11900K is at 4.8Ghz all cores. Ok, now let’s clock it up to just 5.3 or maybe 5.4Ghz. And enable some super hot memory timings at 4000Mhz in (Gear 1) maybe 4000CL14-14-14? Also, let’s bump the cache to 45 or 46 range too.

You gave unfair disadvantage to the r9 by locking clocks on intel ones.
Allow clocks to move as they wish qnd see the proper difference

5950 is a goat and cheap for what it is. Also in multicore and PBO on it can slaugther the other two.

How come the 5950x almost boost 5 ghz? Is that normal or your using OC or PBO? In that case Intel cpu's should be OC aswell since they get some headroom aswell...

Thanks to AMD, now Intel is listing top high end CPU Bellow 1000usd for first time in history. as it never happened since i7 980 extreme. 5950x far the best option on B550 DDR3.

Is that bench on Win 11? AMD has downgraded performance as while Lakes has the help from Microsoft Thread Director advantage.

no matter how advanced of a cpu u get this year, after 5 years any cpu (regardless of having 12 or 100 cores) its gonna start to be too slow to run games of the future lol. The industry made it so that you pay huge price for small additional gains and it is working for them. Honestly just get whatever top end stuff you can get and for the next 6-7 years you are good and repeat.

Nice video 👍 I understand that most of the world plays in 1080P in 2K so I beg of you to make the same video in 4k some of us people don't care about 1K and 2K please make the same video in 4K resolution furthermore in 4k the i-911900k is faster in more games then the AMD r9 5950x at 4k only so if you're a gamer that plays in 4k the i9 11900 is not a joke it is the fastest CPU in the world in 4k right now it holds the world record in 4k yes all of you pretend that 4K does not exist but it does and the i-9 11 900k is the fastest in 4k until someone actually makes a video with the new Alder Lake in 4k vs this CPU and there isn't any for some unknown reason
