Underground Vault Explosion / Beverly Grove

At approximately 1 o'clock this afternoon, LAFD and LAPD were dispatched to a reported explosion at 8455 Beverly Boulevard. First arriving units found broken glass and evidence of an explosion from the sidewalk. Workers at the structure were evacuated and power was knocked out in the area. One patient was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital after sustaining minor injuries. Another patient was also evaluated for injuries. LA DWP is investigating the cause of the explosion.
