The story was good but it threw me off when the final boss wasn’t even there.
The songs were great, idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ was a crew necessary?

I feel this song as well as most if not all the others in this movie came off super underwhelming, that's not to say they were horrible, they were all bland and bare more than anything, The rhyming in most the songs came off as forced and the line subversion came off as repetitive (where they change the last word of the line where you thought they would be a rhyme) this song and the witches song take a strange step into the future with their funky ahh pop songs and it doesn't fit, shiny from the first movie plays a little more experimental with their music yet it fits the character, however giving maui this pop song turns the character on his head and is honestly a disrespect to you're welcome in the first one. the songs sound straight out of Wish. The island song in the first movie felt so alive and the island and the "i want" song in this one feels so hollow. The whole moana coming back to life thing felt very ex machina, overall i truly believe this film was simply to set up a cinematic universe of sorts and not much care went into this one specifically.

Just watched moana 2 earlier, the plot was dry, her crew was unnecessary, the final boss wasn't that even exciting, it was just maui pulling the island, part 1 was way way better. Even the song in 2 was off.
