***PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW***

Yesterday, early in the morning...What you see is what happened.

An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV)...

The Utair 767 was about to land on Runway 02 while the Argentinas was crossing the runway.

By the time russian pilots sight Argentinas (they were taxiing to Holding point of RW25R for take-off) on runway while they were on final approach, they did their best making an impressive and close go around.

After that incidence the plane landed safely on runway 02, and the Argentinas took-off heading Buenos Aires

Hopefully nothing happened.

I hope you enjoy the video, Greetings from BCN,
Miguel Ángel.

The A340 crossed runway twice in this video. Looks like they got lost at airport

Clearly the pilot of that plane does not look when he crosses the street.

It could be the biggest disaster of Barcelona Airport! A fast reacting crew saved the high-risk situation and many lives! Real-life heros!

ANYTIME... I mean anytime you cross a runway you look and confirm with your crew member "Clear Left  / Clear Right"... Not long ago we were given a taxi clearance that would have us cross an active runway, but the controller did not specifically tell us  "Cross runway XX". What did we do? We asked him to clarify it. It turns out we were not cleared to cross the runway. It was a non event because we hadn't even moved. He re-issued the taxi clearance and that was that. Safety is the responsibility of all involved...

This might seem silly, but I only just realised that the spool-up sound at 0:34 is actually coming from the 'skyteam' aircraft who realised what had happened, and tried to clear runway. It times perfectly with the approaching aircrafts 'nose up' .. but its not until seconds later at 00:41 we hear the 767 spool up overhead for it's go-around. Small detail but one worth mentioning :)

"ATC service provider stated that the UTAir Boeing could have continued the landing without any danger, the separation was sufficient."

if it is sufficient separation in Barcelona next time choose train.

Wow, someone really messed up there. That looks like it was way too close. Amazing video to capture!

I genuinely believe if this had been a crash it would have become the most famous video clip in the world.

Какой стресс был у пилотов, от увиденного! Но они быстро и правильно отреагировали на ситуацию.
Молодцы!

Great capture my friend. It seems like the air traffic controller must have been tired!

Good catch!
I agree with Vio L, ANY time one crosses a runway, even with clearance, the flight crew MUST verify it's actually clear. It may have been an ATC mistake to clear the plane across, but ultimately it's THOSE pilots' responsibility to make sure it's actually safe to do so.

I'm sure there was some very choice words directed at someone after that

Is that the sound, just after 0:31, of the pilots in the A340 adding lots of thrust in their best efforts to cross the runway faster? After discovering the 767 on very short finals! Phenomenal catch, I've seen this over the news!
