Wommack 'God Always Wants To Heal'

In his book "God Wants You Well", Andrew Wommack stated that it is always God's will to heal us. Our lackluster faith is what is preventing us from being healed. Contrary to this false notion, the Bible teaches that Christians experience illness and disease from which they often do not receive healing despite their strong faith. One prominent example of this is the apostle Paul. In Galatians 4, Paul states that he suffered from a bodily illness, perhaps an eye disease. Wommack tries to get around this by arguing that Paul was hurting from being stoned. In this video, I provide a summary of Justin Peter's refutation of Wommack's faulty mis-interpretation of Galatians 4.

My older brother died at 54, my youngest brother died at 49, and my baby sister passed at 47, they were saved by God, they prayed, and l prayed with them. The Lord took them home, and l said Amen. I am 70 and l know l will see them again, l recently had covid, l prayed that His will be done, and l recovered, l thank Him for all things, l have another sister left, l am hoping l can reach her, she doesn't know Our Lord, , but l will keep on until He comes to take me home. Amen

I agree that it was an eye illness, ophthalmia. At the end of that letter to the Galatians, he writes, "See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand!" He had to write with large letters because his eyesight was impaired. Also, many years later, at one of his trials after being captured in Jerusalem, he does not recognize the high priest (Acts 23:1-5). Of course, Paul says, in Galatians 4, that this was a bodily _illness, _ not an _injury, _ as would have been the case if it were the result of being stoned in Lystra.

"Greet Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus. Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus. Do your best to get here before winter. Eubulus greets you, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia and all the brothers and sisters. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all." 2 Timothy 4:19-22 (NIV)

Jesus healed every single person who came to Him whether they had faith or not, never did he reject any one
Not one instance recorded in Bible
Healing is part of divine atonement and available to everyone, if people don’t get healed it doesn’t mean God didn’t not heal them they just couldn’t receive it

Andrew absolutely correct in his statement.
If you don’t get healed ask God what’s stopping your healing!

Just a few hours ago, I had some woman tell me to read an Andrew Wommack book to set me straight on speaking in tongues ("prayer language"). No thanks.

My in-laws believe in the word of faith movement and they believe this too. They are also some of the most unloving people I've ever come in contact with.

Thank you Allen I find all your videos helpful. That kind of talk in the NAR destroyed me in the past with a similar church I went too. I share Justin’s view on disability and healing. If this is God’s will for my life, I graciously welcome it. Hope you have a blessed day Allen Merry Christmas 🎄 to you

I have a close family member who believes this man's teachings and I've seen a compassionate, loving person turn into someone arrogant and prideful. They lack compassion when others are sick or in pain and get frustrated when they pray for my healing and I don't get better immediately. It's really taken a huge toll on our relationship. So sad... I can't stand this evil, false doctrine.

So sad. Gods will be done, whether you’re healed or not.

I went to a few of his "college" conferences and they criticized churches for not having faith. I never agreed with him but the people who follow him are really dedicated to him and will defend him to the death.

Justin Peters did a great video about going to his church and having an encounter with a student at his church/college.

I used to follow Womack. He was big on the healing stuff and I remember thinking that if I could just get him to pray over my wife who is blind, maybe she would be healed. I feel so bad for having ever thought that and having ever followed him…

The healing fakery of the NAR folks is most cruel. God is sovereign. It is his will alone that we submit to... We can no more tell God to do something than we can count the sand on the beach. Why they persist in their lies is beyond comprehension... other than it must be financially beneficial to them. Great video as usual. God bless you, sir.
