I am already missing Daddy Jack after his passing today. We are still blessed to see Jack display his culinary talents, but he will be missed! RIP, Jack! You will be my go-to-guy for my favorite dishes but I will always shed a tear for missing a great personality with style, humor, and flair! God Bless you Jack!

Never met you, but I definitely miss you. You taught me to relax, and to cook by feel as much as by measure. More importantly, during my divorce, you and your videos gave me an anchor, a lifeline I cling to while everything else was stripped away from me. I often thought about making an excuse to make the drive to New London to your restaurant, but not in time.

I’m better now, Daddy Jack. I lost everything, and don’t have much left to me, but what I have is solid. I’m on my own two feet now, and I have the love of an amazing woman who makes it all good. I wouldn’t have made it through though without cooking, and you were a big part of that.

God bless you, and rest you Daddy Jack. You were a New England original.
