In Thailand we "Actually" have restaurant like this, They sell you a food with prince around 1$/ dish with 2 menu, You can add another one menu for 0.16$, You can ask them for more rice if you want, they wiil add it for you for "free", that's why there're so many students took photo with restaurant's owner in their graduation day.

In the 90s in our university street in Bangkok, two Thai sisters who were air hostesses for JAL in their young days used to run a food shop like I went back in 2006 with my wife and kid to their shop...both of them treated us as if we're a family reuniting after decades and didn't take any money for the food as miss those everyday loving n caring faces and I miss my Uni-days in Thailand🙏

It's not about money, it's about how'd your business give impact to others. As for the aunty's, she provide comfort foods for those who work hands to mouth. ❤️ God bless every hawkers who did this.

We have shop like this in Kuching. They give water/cordial drink and simple meal every Friday for free. But finish everything put in your plate.
