The people of Tamale, Yendi and Damongo are still without water four years after President Nana Akufo-Addo cut sods for water projects in these towns in the lead-up to the 2020 elections.
Getting water, one of the necessities of life, in these areas is as difficult as mining for some of the world’s precious minerals.

I get very sad when I hear stories like this. As a frafra who has lived all my life in Accra, this really breaks my heart tbh. I know about the hardship, but to lack water to this extent for this long is unbelievable. These politicians are very cunning and heartless is all I can say. I hope @usaid @British high commission @abt global et all would see this and intervene because this is sad. What sort of lobbying do these member of Parliaments, DCES, MCEs and local assemblies doing?? A finance minister went to Parliament, lied and the mps just sat there
