Grew up at Greek Peak and learned to ski there, thanks for sharing. Olympia was rarely open because of a lack of snow. Elysian fields was the best for moguls and then down Stoic. Great area.

Skiied Greek 70 to100 times a year between 1969 and 1983. Snow making in the late 60's and very early early 70's was different because the compressors were leased and guns less portable due to the need for air. It was common to just pile snow in one spot and move it when needed. A fun trick was to pile 4 or 5 foot snow at the top of Olympian and just push it over the edge if the steep got thin. In several years they over did this and it created a shear drop of 3 to 5 ft. The drop before the steep kept anyone who should not be there off and was the best place to show off your Crazy.

Put your hands through your pole straps! Your pole motion is too exaggerated. Take some lessons. There are no black trails at Greek Peek. A trial being steep for 100 ft does not qualify it as black. I skied there for years and while it's a nice area, there is no expert terrain.
