Visa Bulletin July 2024 - surprisingly good news

The July 2024 visa bulletin was published and caught us by surprised because it brought unexpectedly good news for EB2 NIW (national interest waiver). In this video we analyze the USCIS and State Department publication for that category and EB1A (Extraordinary Ability), the green cards that can be self petitioned. Also great news for India in this visa bulletin, so Indian born citizens will wait much less for their green cards in EB-1

I stopped stressing myself about when I will be current . I am just living my life without putting them in my plans . I will be ready whenever they are ready ❤❤

I've been learning so much more about EB2 process with you compared to other channels managed by lawyers/law firms on YouTube. I'm not sure why, but their explanations often seem less genuine and more like idle chatter. I appreciate your clear and straightforward way of describing things; it makes complex information easier to grasp. You are exceptionally well-prepared and knowledgeable. While I haven't subscribed to your course yet, I plan to do so in late September. I'm currently considering applying for an EB2-NIW and hope to proceed with my application in December. Thank you for all the insights you've provided.

Thank you for a very very informative video!! I appreciate the in-depth explanation and fingers crossed it doesn't regress till the end of the year. Your charts in the later-half of the video are GOLD!!!

Hi Oscar, thank you for sharing your insights. Do you have a similar wait time projection for eb1 to become current as well?

Hello Oscar. My PD is Sept 6, 2022 ( Jamaica) and I became current March 1, 2024, but still awaiting interview. Given this July retrogression does that means i will also be affected?

The reason why there is no one set date for when the visa bulletin will be released is because of bureaucracy. The DOS has to get the data from USCIS which has to get data from all the field offices. The DOS themselves have to collect the data from all the consulates then tabulate it. Which has to get clearance before being released. So working in a large government agency with poor management this maybe too much of an ask for them unfortunately.

Thanks for a great video and update. Do we have data on how many of the 140K GC's have been issued so far in the current fiscal year ?

EB1 and EB2 really moved forward surpirisingly despite the previous note from the USCIS that there might be retrogression. Only EB3 retrogressed by 1 year?
Seriously?
Does the DOS playing with greencard applicants? 😅

Hi Oscar, Thank you for your consistency in keeping us informed. Much appreciated. A quick question please - When applying from overseas, do we address our letters to the US Consulate General in our Countries or Address it to the USCIS office address in the US even though we know we are submitting our documents to the Conuslate General in our countries. Thanks

Thank you for the update. Very informational. Is there any way to get an idea of the size of the backlog? It'd be interesting to try and gauge how many applications are actually processed per month per category per chargeability area...

Hi Oscar, I watched your video and checked out the table at the end, but I'm still a bit confused. My Priority Date (PD) is September 15, 2023, under the EB2-NIW category. When do you think I can expect my date to be current? Also, do you know which U.S. consulate is known for having no backlog among Montreal, Sydney, London since I have an option to move among them? Thank you so much for your help and the informative video!

OK, great news, that's fine!
Just one question Oscar - is it too late, for this FY, to file I-140 (EB-2 NIW) by the end of June?

Oscar, what’s your outlook on EB3 category? Doesn’t look like good news. PD April 2022.
