You are absolutely correct, ginger would have been awesome. When I find a big bag of fresh ginger roots, usually at Costco, I buy them and grate them up skins and all, after washing them well, and I freeze them in ice cube containers and each cube is about a Tbsp. So convenient when cooking.

I agree, we have ate leftover all my life.I have known a few people that won't eat leftovers and I have never understood that but to each his own.Alo alot of dishes are even better the next day.❤❤

We almost never have takeout but always have plenty of leftovers and I love your inspiring makeovers. One thing I do with leftover Chinese is to make up a basic brown gravy add some soy sauce, ginger (even powdered) and sesame seed oil to make a 'fakeout almond gravy'. Hubby doesn't like when the leftover rice gets dry and they charge $4 for a single takeout cup of gravy (8oz!) so homemade will do just fine instead. Thank you for taking the time to film all that when you'd probably have rather just finished and sat to relax instead.

Absolutely I never waste take out! Sometimes I redo it like you and put it in a wrap or make toasted sandwiches, mini casseroles, stir fry, etc depending on what it is! I am blessed with a 21yr old at home who always eats out and wont eat left overs lol. I always find a way to redo them!!

My daughter is graduating from highschool soon. In Australia they have a Formal instead of a Prom, it includes a three course meal then dancing and is going to cost $190aud (I had to breathe deeply hearing that). My daughter is a picky eater but also thrifty so she plans on asking for her leftovers to be put in a take home bag ❤😊.

We’ve been married for 34 years and I can count on one hand how many times we’ve had takeout on a Sunday. I gave a reading to a client Sunday, it was exhausting, and my husband suggested Chinese food. We have a wonderful place nearby and they have a combo meal For under $11 each. For under $25, I got a break and a wonderful meal. Unfortunately, we were both starving and there were no leftovers!
