Has Mario Kart World DOOMED Sonic Racing CrossWorlds?

Mario Kart World has been officially announced at the latest Nintendo Direct, and it's on it's way to becoming a sure-fire hit, potentially one of the biggest games of all time. This has led to a lot of talk about the other kart racing game releasing later this year, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds... More specifically how the game is essentially doomed mainly from a sales perspective. There are several reasons why Crossworlds has bigger and more effective advantages over MK world:
1.Cross platform play
2.Accessible to more consoles than MK
3.cheaper than the ridicilously expensive MK World
4.You dont have to buy another console to play Crossworlds unless you WANT to play it on the switch

Sonic Racing Crossworlds will be just fine, It's going to be more accessible anyway. Earlier today during Nintendo's entire Tree House livestream, the chat was flooded with “drop the price” comments in regards to Mario Kart World being at that ridiculous 80 dollar price.

Considering the price, availability, the cool & unique feature of Crossworlds, and the loyalty and interest of the general Sonic fanbase, I think Crossworlds will be fine.

At the very least, Sonic Racing Crossworlds could sell more than Mario Kart. Not only is Sonic Racing releasing on all platforms, but it will most likely be less expensive than Mario Kart World.

No, Crossworlds won’t be OBLITERATED by MKW. The game is far more accessible than World, more customization, and a lot cheaper. Both games will make a lot of money, but I expect Mario kart world to only sell a couple thousand more than crosswords.

I think sonic racing crosswords should be ok, the reason I’m not worried isn’t just because mariokart world is so ridiculously expensive, but there are 2 other reasons.
One is that they’re selling the physical version for 90 dollars, which is not only absurd but parents would not want to pay that much for mariokart for their kids.
Second is that it exclusively on switch 2, meaning that in order to get in you need to pay an upwards of either 500 to 530 dollars.
I think only Nintendo fans and certain people like me would pay that much for one game. And a lot of people like me are gonna wait to buy the switch 2 meaning sales won’t be on a high right away.

I respectfully disagree, the casual/general consumer is not gonna walk into a store & spend $90 or $80 on Mario Kart, not in this economy. Hell They're not even gonna spend money on a switch 2 right now Especially the ones that just got a switch during the holiday season. also Mario kart world is gonna be a switch 2 exclusive. Mario Kart world was already the expensive option from the jump. The Casual/General Audiences are not as crazy enough as your Average Nintendo Fanboy/girl to be spending all that on launch day or within the first year of the switch 2 lifespan, Mario Kart World looks amazing but it's way too expensive to purchase right now. As one of the Beta Tester for Sonic Racing Crossworlds, I can say it was amazing too, not to mention it's gonna be affordable and Available on all platforms. I believe Sonic Racing Crossworlds can coexist with the new Mario kart & most likely do better in terms of sales. the doom & gloom posting on twitter is insane.

Parents will see the price difference as well as they can easily get it on multiple platforms even old consoles like ps4, xbox one or switch

$500. to play Mario Kart World and $40. to play Sonic Racing Crossworlds on your platform of choice including the Steam Deck or any PC handheld, and even Switch 1. Not Doomed.

Sonic tubers can’t go a day without making doom videos about Mario beating Sonic. It’s tiresome. Both will sell, however, Mario Kart will sell triple of what Sonic will sell, and that’s fine. Mario Kart is extremely popular. But the 80-90 price tag might hurt sales, and Sonic is for sure gonna be cheaper than that. All they have to do release it months apart.
