After a run of hits from 1979 through 1986, Skyy, took a three year break from recording before signing with Atlantic Records. In an attempt to change up their sound to a degree, lead singer and songwriter, Solomon Roberts Jr., wrote the ballad, Real Love, and together with female lead singer, Denise Crawford, they delivered a classic jam. Real Love, made it all the way to #1 on the Billboard chart week ending 2/10/90, becoming the group's 3rd #1 hit single.
