The effect-laden lead riff that comes in at 3:46 is just sublime. Sounds almost like a violin and gives such a joyous lift to the final part of the song.

For those wondering - "Young Team" is a term used to describe gangs of troublesome teenagers in Glasgow known as NEDS (Non educated delinquents). They typically hang around street corners wearing shell suits, or outside off licences or chip shops. Usually territorial to whatever area they are from E.G. "Govan Young Team" or "GYT". They usually spray paint the initials on walls to mark the territory.

I like how Mogwai applied their influences on this song. The quiet, calm guitars that appear in the song sound like a combination of Slint & The Cure, whereas the noise section from 3:43 onwards is basically a blistering marriage of Sonic Youth & My Bloody Valentine.
