As a Canadian, I have just written a protest letter to Trinity Western University in British Columbia.
Geoffrey Martin is listed as the Purchasing Manager for the campus and his father is campus President.
I will be contacting my MP and the Federal Government and asking for a formal inquiry on this issue.
I would urge my fellow Canadians to do the same.
This is abhorrent thinking and behaviour in any country and it needs to be called out whenever it rears its ugly head.
Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms that enshrines freedom of speech and expression but it does have limitations. Hate speech and inciting violence are not enshrined and subject to prosecution.
