Yessss, finally found this one! I LOVE when it plays during battles in game. The sense of Aloy’s struggle but tough resolve is really highlighted in this one.

Yup this is the one I was looking for! I was figuring out how to access the Tallneck at Stand of the Sentinels as this played. It was night and the moon was casting epic god-rays through the trees. Took me a while to override but worth it

From the very first time I heard it, this theme struck me as unique. HFW has amazing battle soundtracks, everyone of them feels so unique to the situation and type of machine your facing.

But in my mind, What made this theme so tantalizing was that it wasn’t a machine theme, where every other theme feels “external” for lack of better term this one feels like it’s coming straight from the depths of Aloy’s soul. Like this is the personification of her very essence. This is what SHE feels when she’s putting her life on the line.

It has a sense of a deeper emotion imbedded in it; a sense of Inner Peace! Aloy is doing all of this to save the world without question; but it’s deeper than that. This isn’t just her duty, it’s her Nature. Her Divine Purpose. It’s Who She Is! That Raw Warrior Spirit passed down through the teachings of her Adopted Father: Rost and the righteous spirit of Elisabet Sobeck

No matter how stressed her mission makes her. The Thrill of Battle is the only place she truly feels at Home!

The theme gets intense as you find out that the only way to that Tallneck is through the mech baboons. And if you fall there's definitely a stalker you didn't kill 🥲

I've been looking for this one. First heard it fighting stalkers near the tallneck in the jungle. Or should I say, Running from stalkers. "The stand of the sentinels" I think it was called.

I swear there is another version of this that plays when you do the tallneck. It's slightly more subtle without the main strings

I think most of us agree this might be the best battle theme in the game simply because of it being the first and only in-game battle theme from ZD and FW to also blend Aloys theme into it (If I'm not mistaken). I kept trying to figure out why it was so unique and felt like the series was coming into its own and wearing that pride on its sleeve and I realized it was because of the "Iconic Legacy" vibe it has 👌🏾💯.
