How to open an elevated command prompt using a CMD

How do you normally open an elevated command prompt window? In Windows 10/8/7 you right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. In Windows 10/8, you use the Win+X menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). But did you know that you can also open an elevated instance of Command Prompt using a normal CMD?

UAC prompt (consent.exe) is displayed when you select "Run as administrator"! It is possible to elevate with a VBScript or a thirdparty tool that prompts for elevation, but it creates a different instance of the command prompt, there is no way to send a CORRECT %ERRORLEVEL% from the elevated app (and command prompt) to the NON-ELEVATED Command Prompt Window!

Why do you not have a password for your admin account?
also, unless I did something wrong, this does not seem to work on Windows 11.
