Same here! I love the early ones for the same reason. I'm always looking for others that nothing can hold back, like you described, so I hope that I'm one of them myself. Nothing less will do.

True! Agreed on all counts. And yes, I have fallen down the "Interviews of Brian" spiral myself, many a night, sometimes for hours on end. It's fascinating to enter the thought processes of someone like Brian. And I agree--it's a matter of tastes...

Thanks so much for the amazing A ROCK gigs and for the vids, I was already eagerly waiting for more of them after the Paris one :)))

Wow, you're one of the first Placebo fans I know who sees this as I do.

It's true about Robert living in his own world, but I think Robert is also the kind of person who doesn't need much and doesn't want much... so he's less likely than Brain (who needs to provide for his kid) to go for a Mercedes festival. And yes - totally agree about them both having their own beauty - after all, they are the two men who really really inspired my music!

Agreed. You see him as a complex human being, not a god-like figure, so I assume you're older and have analyzed a lot of musicians and their motives. A lot of Placebo fans are young kids... one can't blame them for idolizing Brian at all, and ignoring any questionable moves by him. They need to idolize him for the illusion to keep working & making them feel good... there's psychology behind it, and it lends a certain legitimacy to anything he does (since he makes so many people so happy).

not the best haircut hon... the bun is cute though.... contrary to what some said, i really enjoy steve. compared to the old drummer, i mean the second one. i think as the guys have said in interviews you can see the "happy" emanate from him and that rubs on to them who have been this long in music i think it's important to renovate themselves in a way. i love their first album, actually i could say i love them all, but battle for the sun in probably my favorite. it puts me in a good mood.

Is it just me, or does Steve sound more and more English every time you hear him??? He doesn't seen to have a yankee accent any more!!

I hope he is a little ashamed. These spots are as bad as much as We Come in Pieces was good.

This director did the music video for Placebo's song Exit Wounds on their Loud Like Love album. It is one of the worst pieces of shit I have ever witnessed. The video completely missed the point of the song. It is unemotional, shallow and misogynistic. He may be your "friend" Placebo, but he doesn't "get" your music AT ALL.
