I have used deepin few years before. And it won my heart from the first instance. I loved how user friendly the Desktop Environment was then...I am sure it retains its coolness. Just wish other DE should implement some design and ui principals of Deepin. Currently I am using Kubuntu 18.04 lts.

Deepin aims to attract the user and make him familiar with a truly polished interface. It is a bit too "tablet-like" interface, the clock being a app an all... However, if I have to install a distribution to someone who knows little or nothing about Linux, and lure him or her into be willing to sacrifice some of the conviciences that Windows offers, I would certainly go for Deepin. It is based on Debian Unstable I think and the developer takes it from there to deliver a truly confortable environment to look at.

I would be so curious to see people start and comapare design choices between Deepin and Pantheon (Elementary OS).

Ugh, this paranoid people crying over "spyware". You're using internet, You are always tracked.
It's the best distro but my current system doesn't support my graphics card well (changing today).

one of the reasons that i installed mac os on my laptop was because it just looked so good. I am going to install deepin for the same reason

Deepin looks beautiful. This is the kind of visual fidelity that I expected from Elementary OS.

Manjaro with Deepin desktop environment is my daily driver and I LOVE IT. Beautiful in a way I did not expect from Linux. Even though I am a professional, and a heavy computer user, Deepin has more than enough functionality for me, combined with utterly gorgeous design choices.

Am I the only one that has noticed the uptick in open source OSes lately?
Maybe it's because Windows spies on you and Macs lock you down and are grossly overpriced....

This will be the OS i gonna use if i still having problem (Kworker/3:3) in Mint 19 Tara. I`m tired of the restarting my laptop for overheating and disconnecting (wifi + cable) issue.

Also developers like to have a nice looking desktop UI and task and window managers that doesn't suck. That exactly is the reason why a lot of developers are on macOS.
After switching for over a year around the linux distros, and always having different usage issues, I moved to macOS as well, despite I always hoped for a productively usable disto to be available one day. I'll definitely will give it a chance as pro user.

Deepin has served me very well. The whole 'spyware' flap is moot because the CNZZ script has been removed. Deepin 15.8 has nothing calling home that I can find.

The desktop environment is very innovative and nice to use. Deepin has been one of my daily drivers since 15.3. Even though Deepin is geared for the consumer it is up to the demands a more advanced user might put on it. Manjaro Deepin is great, too.

The Deepin Store also has a setting called 'international' that shows more mainstream software. They also will show software geared more for the Asian market but some of that software is somewhat unknown to Western users. I found it contains some real gems so if you are willing to experiment they have a lot of software that might be totally new to you.

I’m about to buy a new gaming laptop. I plan to dual boot this and use this as my work/production OS (Lots of spreadsheets, word docs, and powerpoints, as well as web interfaces) and use the Windows side solely for gaming.

I’ve been toying around with Deepin for about a month now, as a virtual machine, and it seems stable enough to trust as a daily driver, unlike Windows.

Stability is important. I’ve seen far too many Windows machines simply fail to boot out of the blue for various reasons...bad updates being significant.

I’m currently on Mac OS/OS X, but wanted to get out of console gaming (didn’t want to buy an eGPU and Bootcamp Windows on the Mac - wanted a different setup where I could game while mobile, hence going with a laptop with a built in GPU for gaming). I think my new setup will give me the best of both worlds.
