Just a friendly reminder, don’t assume that a noncontrolled airport is vacant if no other aircraft are talking on the advisory frequency. Thats where a mid air collision is most likely due to occur as other pilots are not required to use it. Awesome video!

Nice video! Just recommended your site to a friend of mine who's son is just starting his training in 172's. When you fly you explain what you do and why you are doing it. Good for rookies to watch. Started when I was 17 now at 63 and a heart attack later the only flying I do is either commercial or watching you on here. Thanks for your USCG service and for your friend's service in the USAF.

Hey Steve, thanks so much for posting these videos. I got my private ticket in 1984 along with Instrument and commercial the following year. I also owned a Piper Dakota PA-28/235 and you are right, I would have killed for the avionics you have today. I had a 3M Storm Scope on board and thought that was hot stuff back then. I did a lot of charter work out of THV (Thomasville, PA) and flew check runs for the banks as well (that’s when we delivered uncanceled checks to the bank clearing houses for processing). Thanks again for posting, I am reliving my youth through your videos.

Green Turtle Cay was my dad’s favorite place on earth, back in the 80’s. He never ate seafood until going there and learned about conch real quick !
