Nice comparison between the two. Ariens moves it faster and just as well as Honda for half the price! (Good thing you got a good deal on it) Was that 1st gear you were in? Seemed kinda fast if so. I Have a 2019 Toro PowerMax HD 928 and just had looks like the same 18" of Heavy Stuff we got here in Northern Mass! The Toro handled it great even 2Ft+ end of driveway Plowed snow, went right through it!

Both machines did a very good job. I'd be happy with either. There wasn't a major difference between them. The Ariens, being a smaller machine and significantly less expensive kept its own. The Ariens Pro, which is alot closer in price to the Honda, with its larger 420cc motor would've moved more snow, quicker. Great job!!!!

Honda all the way man. Consistent power doesn't bog down like the china made engine in the ariens.

In my experiences, the bigger Ariens don't have a slow enough wheel drive setting to not have to ride the clutch.
