I live in Dubai, to leave your residence you need a permit, this permit is time and location specific. Recently I regretfully broke these rules and was stopped by the police; the officer politely explained to me that the constraints associated with the permit are means to identify contacts in case of a positive diagnosis. Honestly, there is no place on earth I'd rather be facing this pandemic in than here. For some reason, I thought America is going to lead the world in responding to this issue. Sadly I think the days America leads the world in anything positive are behind us; I wonder if they will ever come back!
