From my interpretation, tracking the in-store purchases from META ads seems a bit tricky.
Even with the conversion API, it seems like accurate tracking of in store sales will entirely depend on :
1. The customer willingly giving out his information (email or phone) so META can create matches
2. The customer providing the same information as listed on his META account(s)

Ben sorry if this is a really daft question, but this is just for if you own your own stores? We sell through independent stores rather than owning one, so I’m guessing this is not for us?

Can you help me? I see in my ad manager with the metric purchases. But 60% of them Meta does not measures the conversion value. Something it does, something it doesn't. I made sure in tag manager the variables for the tag/trigger are correctly installed. Like Variable order value and currency. How can I fix it. it is really annoying, .

Before this was introduced, what I did to optimize the data generated from Meta CAPI even if the intention of the business owner is to drive more physical sales but wants to collect online payment was I created something like of “pre-order” thing kind of order form. So basically, when a prospect fills up the “pre-order” form online, the order will be reserved for them on a specific date to get the product and before it will be reserved for them, they need to pay it. If they can’t get the product on the specific date they indicated on the form, the business will not process and refund and the product that was reserved from that “no-show” customer will be available in the physical store and allows the business owner to sell it to in-store customers/buyers and it increases the sales of the business owner. By doing this, Meta CAPI will still get data from the prospects because they paid for the product before it was reserved for them, and increases the commitment of online buyers to get the product in-store.
