Also to be fair in the Star Wars Universe Jedi are so rare that it's more of a myth for most normal citizens that's why blasters are also so much more viable because you wouldn't expect to fight a jedi every day

I saw another video saying that blaster bolts don't travel as fast as a bullet but they go farther and are immune to gravity so I guess the pros outweighed the cons.

I love it when sci-fi changes are actually accompanied by logical reasons. Many technologies are phased out in sci-fi to create a different ambience without thinking about thr Watsonian explanation for their replacements. This makes complete sense, they're cheap, they're powerful, they're efficient, they're effective, so the transition makes all of the sense in the world.

There is one massive advantage that Slug Throwers have over Blasters: they aren't affected by Ion shots or explosions. Since blasters are basically nothing but advanced technology with no mechanical mechanism, a slug thrower would still work if an Ion blast were to go off.

It's actually brought up in the Battlefront: Twilight Company Novel and is one of the few times Slug Throwers are brought up in a Canon source.

Carry both. Blaster as your workhorse gun, ballistic gun as your specialist. Save the ballistic ammo for when you need it, use the blaster for everything else.
