You made a cake batter, added shaved apples, poured it in a cake pan, over baked it which produced a burned bottom, thus, this is called a cake, no matter how thin you slice it. Good idea if you take some cooking/baking classes so that you know the name of what you are making. I've made this version of an apple cake for at least 55+ years. Recipe came from a sweet Jewish lady.

Both lemon and limes. Crust not burned 5 minutes more less. Always interesting to try a new recipe if we can for our families and to serve friends covered dish. And all interesting way for apples to be used in a recipe
