The Williams Symphony Grand is an inspiring musical instrument and an attractive complement to any home. Its sleek shape and closable piano lid suggest the contours of an acoustic grand piano, and its ebony finish fits with any decor.

The Symphony Grand has graded, hammer-action keys and a rich, detailed piano sound. It also features 173 other voices, 46 from Williams' Custom Library. Play it as is, or use its remarkably complete auto-accompaniment function. In the crowded field of digital home pianos, the Williams Symphony Grand is a clear leader in its price range.

My husband got me this keyboard as a surprise for Christmas last year. Went to so much work putting it together until the wee hours of the morning. I like some of the features, but it just doesn't play like a real piano and several of the keys had issues in no time. Terrible action. There's a warranty, but Guitar Center told him he would have to lug it back in to the store. Oh my gosh. There's no way. Now I'm trying to find a video to fix the plastic hammers myself. Some kid pounded on it early in the morning and when I came downstairs, a key was drooping. >:( I wish I had the money and space for a real baby grand, but now I'm stuck with this thing for now.

Notice they don't give you a direct line-in recording of the sound and they also don't play anything pedal-intensive.

Red flags everywhere.

This is a modest video advertisement for a modest instrument. One would not get a concert pianist to demonstrate this. They are just giving an honest modest assessment.

does anyone know if it will play programmed songs kind of like a player piano? say youre having a party- could it be playing in the background without anyone around?

I really wanted to like this piano, found a great deal online and actually went to a local store to play and listen to it....
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Keyboard action is NOTHING like a real piano and has a definite "toy piano" feel to it. And the tone of the grand piano voice... light, weak, nothing resembling the real thing. It LOOKS great and has great technology, but it falls far short on the basics: tone and playability. One review I found online actually referred to this piano as a PSO: a Piano Shaped Object. I did not want to believe that review, but unfortunately, I have to agree with that review. It's a PSO. Too bad.
The store also had a Suzuki MDG-330. $1000 more, but sounded MUCH better. The keyboard on that one was better, but still not quite good enough.
I then moved on to a Yamaha digital console piano for about $300 more than the Williams. Bingo. True sound and a keyboard that actually felt like paying a piano.
I do have to confess that I come from a acoustic baby grand (Yamaha) that I've been babysitting for the last 3 years. The owner is now back and wants it back, so I'm looking for a replacement.
I think that if you do not have a lot of experience playing a "real" piano, the Williams might be good. But if your fingers are used to the real thing, The Williams falls far short and the Yamaha digital console piano comes very close.

You have several models from this manufacturer ranging from $1400-8000. Which one is this?

If your planning to get a Williams brand piano sure go ahead there not bad but definitely not amazing. If you were to get a piano get a Yamaha clavinova or a Casio keyboard

Is "Williams" an underground Chinese brand? How come there's no information about this company? It's very strange.

i can hear the difference...I can hear that it's not a real piano. It sounds nice, but the sound isn't as rich.

Total waste of my $1, 600 bucks. I coulda got a great Casio or Suzuki for $600 less, with good action and better sound. Action is weak, will break easily, and more sluggish than a keyboard. Grand Piano voice sounds horrendous, but Bright Piano voice is tolerable. This things sustain is horrible. Cant even play something as simple as Moonlight Sonata, as it sounds like there isnt enough sustain or polyphony. Dont even attempt Tempest Sonata or 3rd movement of Moonlight as the keys cannot keep up with you

This looks amazing. But it feels terrible to a true pianist. The look, again, is awesome. The sound and feel is very disappointing. Go with the Roland GP3
