Why aren’t the burn in settings automatic ?

All the burn in settings are applied automatically I just bought an LG C9 it's an amazing TV. Every thing will update automatically one must not worry so much, if u want to be Future proof just take an extended warranty till 5 years. LG C9 is for enthusiasts I am sure u will upgrade to a new TV after 5 years.. Enjoy

Another tip is to put power saving to minimum which is still bright enough but does not put strain on the tv. Had an OLED tv on this setting for nearly 5 years and absolutely no burn in.

Thanks for video. I'm on my 3rd screen for a late 2017 LG B7 55" for burn in issues. Happened after 6 months of normal viewing. LG replaced first panel, claimed it was defective, but it happened AGAIN after 6 months. Now on screen #3. LG global was not helpful. LG USA was. At time I bought it, LG had a website devoted to burn in, claiming it wasn't a problem. It is. TV is great for movies, good for gaming, but risky for daily watching unless you like ghosted CNN logos. Also, my screen picture options are different than those in video. Prob diff by market and firmware version.

I think watching movies on subtitles can burn the pixel as i had experienced this with my oled c7.. Now i get horizontal green lines at the bottom of my tv

Speaking of burn-in and the thumbnail. I've actually been thinking about whether such videos of fireplaces would cause burn-in or not. What is your experience and thoughts on this?

Wise words spoken, be sensible with any TV & all will be well. Common sense at all times.

I’ve got my B9 coming tomorrow so I’ll crack on and implement these settings when it arrives.👍

OLED TV PQ is amazing. The Samsung QLED Q9FN is very close tbh but the OLED wins on PQ by a little. Although the tips are great, there's way too much to baby on OLED to prevent burn-in which is a shame.
