It's interesting that all these individuals opposing the students loan program, are not outraged about the PPE programs that Americans have to pay back in taxes and PPE loans also went to wealthy people and corporations that used it to purchase stocks buybacks for their companies. 🤔🙄😒

Will refunds for payments made during COVID (up to 10k) be automatically processed by the DoE? Or is proof from loan servicer needed?

I have more of a concern than a question. In the past, my account has switched servicers. They don't share payment histories. Fortunately, I have them all. So for the automatic refund of payments during the forbearance....I don't know if it will be based on my servicer of the past year or will it include the servicer from before. 30 payments have been made since 2020. If they keep it simple, they can look at what my balance was March 13, 2020, and what it currently is now. Nothing is ever simple with student loans!
