Pascal's Wager Argument - For the Belief in God

Показать описание
Join George and John as they discuss and debate different Philosophical ideas, today they will be looking into Pascal’s Wager Argument.
Unlike most arguments in Philosophy of Religion, the Wager argument does not attempt to prove the existence of God, but merely argues that our best and safest decision is to believe in God. Pascal adopts the gamblers approach to Philosophy of Religion and argues that believing in God could result in heaven and not believing in God risks ending up in hell, the best wager we can therefore make is to believe in God.
Is this argument a good approach to take? Should we gamble on God existing merely for own best interests in the afterlife? Watch as George and John critically assess the argument.
