Collin Gosselin claims he was discharged from Marines due to past institutionalization by mom Kate

Collin Gosselin’s 2016 institutionalization has come back to haunt him.

Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin’s 20-year-old son revealed in a Tuesday Entertainment Tonight interview that is he “not [in the Marines] any longer” due to his time in a mental health institution.

“I was discharged,” Collin said. “I was towards the end of training, very close to graduating. The paperwork was looked into, and they found out that I was, in fact, in an institution at one point in my life.”

Why did the Marines wait until he was ready to graduate to do this? Something is missing about what took place.

Its sad because he should have never been thrown in there for years in the first place. I don't know how you throw out a child and never look back. If Jon didn't eventually get him out where would he be????Jon couldn't find him for two years. She's a monster. She deserves prison.

That’s pretty harsh that the Marines discriminated against them because of his psychiatric hospitalpast. It really isn’t relevant to him now. He was a kid when that happened or safety say a minor. I hope he can build a case against them. He should also try sue his mom for mental damage.

Have the Marines or anyone in charge of his dismissal made a comment on why he was discharged? I find it difficult to believe it was because of his previous background. I don't believe he's been properly diagnosed and wonder if he's autistic and doesn't get proper medical care. I can't know everything about him but I do know he was in the middle of a very unpleasant situation for most of his life. Some children take divorce and separation harder than others. I have great sympathy for the young man. I wish he'd learn a trade he can love and move on with his life. So sad. ❤

And here I thought the Marines would take anyone and that "unpredictable and violent behavior" was a plus! I knew I guy was kinda slow and he joined the Marines. He got booted because he couldn't remember to call his cap a cover.
