Gene Therapy

When we looked at some areas of biotechnology earlier in the series, we briefly touched on gene therapy, without saying much about what it is. Now we are ready to dive into this topic and see what it is all about. If a person has a defective gene, what can be done about this? Is there a way to modify the genes in someone's cells? How exactly would that work? Should we be doing this at all? We will answer all of these questions and more in this video!

I think engineered meganucleases or TALENS have a lot of promise for genome targeting. Still, I feel that most treatments are going to be restricted to diseases that can be treated by transplant of ex vivo transfected cells.

how electron absorb and EMIT photons.
i watched many of your videos about modern physics and others and also googled but couldn't find the answer. i know that electrons emits photons when it changes its energy level in atom but how electron emit/produce photons? electrons are made of quarks so do they change while emitting photons ???
