What I found somewhat scary was when ghost girl came out of the TV; totally unexpected.

6:30 nailed it. I watched it in high school and was the only film that had scared me since I watched IT as a kid. Watching it as an adult I was like - ehhh what.

It's not over the top at all, it's genuine, you don't pause the videos or talk over them, and you have great sound quality, and a great personality for these. The first time I have watched the ring was in the theatre with my friend it was early 2003 just before our 12th standard class exams is over, actually, one paper was remaining so we were feeling pretty guilty about it. The closet scene got both of us good, my friend wanted to leave but I couldn't because we paid for our tickets, lol. so we stayed and watched the whole movie and it wasn't that scary after that but we were bracing ourselves for any scary scene ahead. We didn't know the concept of 'jump scare' at that time, it was a new thing for us as we hardly watched any scary or horror movie till then or afterward in the theatres, it was always used to be sci-fi or action movies. The movie was pretty good but we didn't understand the ending, later a guy from my school or somewhere I don't remember exactly, who was also in the theatre explained the conclusion of the whole movie. But now we think the same thing it wasn't really that scary movie but it was also a pretty suspenseful thriller with real nice shots of the surrounding.

I kid you not. My college roommate and I had a few of our friends in the room to watch this when it came out. The good old days of burning DVD’s. Haha. As soon as the phone rang in one of the scenes, the phone in our room rang. Everyone jumped. It was another friend who called who didn’t know we were watching the movie. It was crazy. Haha

I couldn’t agree more about The Grudge. The original (Ju-On) is still my all time favourite horror flick. I was fortunate to have seen it first before The Grudge. You have good taste.

As far as horror movies go, I remember feeling weird after this movie. It was a bit disturbing, as opposed to scary, but then again, I don't find "Horror" to be scary. It was decently well acted, shot, and rewritten, and I watch it at least once a year, during the Halloween season.

For Pitch Meetings and Honest Trailers I recommend: Halloween (1978 and 2018), Nightmare on Elm Street, Sharknado, The Mummy, The Terminator, It, Stranger Things, Hellboy

Hey Mike! Good video! I like the Pitch more than the actual movie in this case. Like with many horror movies, I was not scared by The Ring. I actually remember thinking that the scene with the guy electrocuting himself did not make any sense at all! Anyway, it was more fun to watch the movie audience than the movie. Ryan George does a really good job of dissecting these movies in a fun way!

I hate horror but this was so weird, it was funny! When that girl came out of the TV, I understood exactly how she felt. I look exactly like that after a week of teaching middle school math. 😨
