In my early years of pastoring Wooster Naz, while praying, and dreaming, I visualized a complex jigsaw puzzle slowly being assembled. The outer frame began to form, and then, pieces began spinning into place from every direction. I saw it clearly but had no idea how many pieces there would be in this puzzle.

As the years have gone by, that picture has become a reality! Even now, “people-pieces” continue to spin into place from every direction. God began building this life-giving church one relationship at a time … each person unique in function but equal in value.

God filled our limited facilities to overflowing and we quickly realized we needed more space to expand. Our theme song became … “Build Your Church, Lord!” We purchased twenty acres, built approximately 95,000 square feet, and finally walked the mile up Oak Hill to our present location in early October 2006.

Originally, the finished portions included the foyer, worship center, restrooms, offices, and kid’s classrooms. After we moved in, we gradually completed the fellowship hall, kitchen, gym, and additional restrooms, classrooms, and offices.

Many of you may not realize that we still have 22,000 square feet of unfinished space in the rear two-story section of our building. Our leadership, finance team, and church board have unanimously decided it’s time to move forward towards building completion.

This phase will target finishing the upper level behind the gym, approximately 7,000 square feet. This area will include more gathering places for our Lil’ Sprouts and NazKIDS, multipurpose gathering spaces for all ages, additional restrooms, a stairwell, and a required elevator.

Because of God’s faithful provision through your generosity, we’re undertaking this phase cash-on-hand. We won’t take on additional debt to complete this project.

Soon, we’ll be launching My Church: More to Come. This campaign will raise additional funds towards the completion of our facility. If you’re connected to Wooster Naz and believe in who we are and what we’re called to do, we’re asking you to pray, dialogue, and partner with us as we continue to grow.

The Wooster Naz puzzle is a work in progress that began with 167 people worshiping together on our first Sunday, Mother’s Day, 1995. Since then, we have continually seen God’s faithfulness. We’re going about the Father’s business together … loving God, loving people, and living transformed.

We still don’t know how many puzzle pieces will spin into place or what the final picture will look like … but … we do know this … these challenging times are proving to be the best of times. We truly believe there IS … “More to Come!”
