I have always detested this trend. I have noticed it for years across the US. They will call themselves anything BUT a church: Assembly, Worship Center, Gathering, etc...

As a brother from England (albeit I'm more in the Evangelical church, rather than the CoE), this is "shocking but not surprising". Sadly, most of the bishops are either atheists or modernists, apostates, or just in it for the money. The Rt. Rev. Justin Welby the Archbishop of Canterbury is as woke as it is possible to be. There are good vicars and Biblically sound congregations out there, but sadly they are outnumbered. It is very sad to see, and England is I think reaping what she has sown. Please pray for us - we need it more than you perhaps realise.
