People say that elon musk doesnt spend his money right. I beg to differ, i find him to be a billionaire who is one of the few who spend their wealth positively. At least its not for a selfish reason.

Just think. The people of Boca Chica are going to be 1.5 miles away from watching one of the largest rockets ever built take off and land when they get the full sized BFR going.

Boca Chica was a bad choice to locate this venture. This is a prime recreation area (fishing, camping, family outings, water sports, etc.) and space x will be shutting down access to the area each time a launch is scheduled. This region of the state has little else to offer the residents and visitors in the way of recreation. God forbid a launch goes awry, as the rockets will be in close proximity to the cities of South Padre Island and Port Isabel.

The closer you are to the equator, the more of energy you get from the Earth's rotation when you launch. It means more payload to orbit.

This site will probably be where the the first people to walk on Mars will one day launch from.

Wow, I never realized any house in Boca Chica village was that close to the future launch pad. I suppose on launch day it would make sense to go do some grocery shopping in Brownsville.

Beautiful place. Love that part of America. Spent a few years teaching in that area and the whole time was an idyllic adventure.

How can there be a "valley"? I thought you needed mountains on either side of a stretch of land to have a valley. And those mountains in Texas would be...?
