B Sides from One Million Trees (2020) now streaming on CBC Gem find it here:

"It's like a martial art.. it's a form of sorts. It's graceful- it can be a graceful movement. It's a dialogue with yourself, like you have your internal dialogue and your body is intrinsic with that also. If I'm stumbling, is it because, is it nutritional or is it because I'm distracted in other ways? It's important to be comfortable. I think that's really important. Whether it's that the elements are particularly adversarial, you know, prepare for that, be prepared for that. These days, it's a lot of wool. I'm always scanning thrift stores for wool, long sleeves, toques, whatever. It's a philosophy, it's a discipline. It's like, 'how you go to sleep is how you wake up'."

David Epp is a certified legend in the planting world. There's really nothing more we can add to this. Just casually dropping proverbial gems on us as he bags up without taking his bags off.

This was one of our final days filming on the block with the Rainforest Reforestation crew this spring.
