Built by a legendary engine builder;Tony Shaffer . Well known in the 409 world.
Solid lifters , 11 to 1 compression , and bored over 30,476hp.

I had 8 uncles. Most had Chevy's. When I was a kid, grandpa's yard was littered with early Impala's and trucks. They bought wrecked cars and 4 doors cheap just for the engines and parts off of them to fix their running cars.
The most engines pulled out of the cars were 348s and 409s laying on the ground. They preferred the 327 over what they called the boat anchor truck motors.
