This band makes me nostalgic about a time when I wasn't even alive, people I didn't meet, relationships I didn't have. It's like looking back at a life fully lived.

Imagine how positive and happy society would be having songs like this playing on the radio daily...

I was born in 1972, grew up in the 1980's. Most of the best years, best memories of my life are from that magical decade. Even those older than me (parents age) agree. The 80's is a past that still feels like it's in the future. The 80's feels new even 35-40 years on. The 80's makes me feel young, it makes me look forward to years in life I no longer have in front of me. It makes me miss a girl that I've never met. It makes me believe in a future that's already passed me by. It's the impossible dream that still feels within

The best time to listen to this track is late at night when you can't sleep and you're a bit melancholy about life

I can't believe there's a whole genre out there that has resurrected the great 80's sound. So to the many artists out there like The Midnight, the only thing I want to say is.. Thank you.

I used this song for our wedding slideshow. My husband and I were born in 90 and 91 and I used clips from the early 90's to then fade into photos of us as babies and throughout our life until we met. It made everyone cry. I can't express what this song means to us now <3 Also I have loved this band and music for many years and I was so happy to be able to feature them on our big day.

Man, I have this song on repeat. It's actually helping me get over a ten-year bender. People can call bullshit, but music really does do something in the soul. Here's to sobriety.

I was born in 1989 in the USSR, I live in Russia. I lived in the 80s for almost 10 months) I grew up watching wonderful US films from the 80s and 90s. This music evokes joy and tears of nostalgia. How I want, at least for 1 day, to travel to the USA of the 80s. This is a wonderful place, a wonderful time (which I did not live in), amazing music, cinema and culture. Be happy and never grow old at heart. With love from Russia. P.S. I hope someday I will see America with my own eyes.

I've been depressed for so long. I used to cry a lot but for years now I could not even do that. This song made me bawl out crying for the first time in so long, in a good way too! Thank you The Midnight!

At first I thought this song made me feel sad - I realized it’s more of a loving heart-ache, which makes me feel a strong sense of gratitude... Listening to this gives me a huge desire to be affectionate. I love this feeling. It’s like belonging.
