- Now understand that I was chained to a desk in school just to learn how to be chained to a desk at work in adulthood.
- Memorizing things doesn’t make you knowledgeable. I mean, think about it: a week or two after a test that was so important for you, do you still remember all that information? No, you don’t.
- Grades in school teach us one thing: you must strive for the status of “success” – you don’t even have to know what success really is. You need to get grades, not knowledge.
- Money is associated with success, but real success is about sustaining your wealth. That’s exactly what they don't teach at schools: about money. The end goal of your education is to make you a good employee.
- You work hard, and you get rewarded with a good grade. You make mistakes or don’t study hard enough, and you get punished with a bad grade. You FAIL!
- Because I’d always thought that failure is bad and scary, I couldn’t make myself think of overcoming it and dealing with obstacles that caused me to fail.
- And that’s exactly what you shouldn’t be doing. Try, fail, and immediately start thinking of ways to get better!
- But we’re naturally afraid to take risks – that’s just how our minds work. It’s better to accept defeat than waste more of our precious resources on a problem that we once failed to solve.
- Do not blame anything or anyone for your shortcomings. Again, that’s just negative thinking creeping up in your head!
- Being mad at abstract things is easy, but taking the responsibility to deal with a problem is more effective than just complaining about it.
- Greed comes from the same fear of loss and failure that I mentioned earlier. The richest people in the world don’t work for money.

Succes is based on more factors in life, being healthy, being able to help people, leave a positive result for the future generations, sharing knowledge to be a better friend, husband and family member. I see a lot of people focused on what they want for themselves but that's just selfish and narcissistic. And I can tell from experience you won't enjoy life like that.

I totally agree with this video, EXCEPT for one statement: don't blame anyone for your shortcomings. Yes, WE are responsible for our own actions or inactions -- I totally agree. However, keep this in mind: teenagers are ignorant and young. Most do not have enough life experience to actually make good decisions that will help them succeed in the future. Therefore, I totally believe that teachers, adults and parents have responsibilities to PROPERLY teach and prepare our young people FOR LIFE. In my opinion, in most cases, this does not happen, and young people are TOTALLY justified for holding adults partly responsible for not adequately preparing them for life. In other words, WE as adults can and should be blamed for the shortcomings of young people. In fact, I would also include myself in this group: as a teacher, I feel there are more things I should be doing to prepare young people for their future lives, but I am not doing them. For this, I accept responsibility and blame. I think a statement such as "don't blame others for your shortcomings" is far too simple and even a bit ignorant: too many other factors are at play to be ignored.

Greed is a sin problem experienced by rich and poor alike. Of course, greed locks people into their poverty, which is why there are a lot more greedy poor people than rich people, per capita.

Success is for what people manipulate the present. Present work is essential as it paves the way to the future. It is true to think for the future but as a science student, for me present is what it is able to outstand every principle. Don't think about the future, don't remember the past, act now as you can only control your 'present'.
The present is the only pathway to the past and future.
